With a growing road and railway network it is of icreasing importance to build cost efficient underground infrastructure facilities which are safe, energy efficient, have less environmental impact and are easy to maintain. The last few years also the European and the Swedish environmental goals have been sharpened, as well as the legal framework. Hence it is om great importance to develop and implement new and better methods and technique for planning, designing, and construction of underground infrastructure facilities.
The general vision of the TRUST project is to improve research on sustainable development of underground infrastructure. This will result in improved methods and tools for planning, designing, and construction of underground infrastructure facilities.
